Nature, with its protected species

 

Mobile muzzle, agile in the trees as on the floor, with a funny look, the brown coati comes from Central America, more precisely from Costa Rica. Let's admire them in a wooded park, searching delicious insects in the ground! They are La Bourbansais' 11th EEP.

Coatis

La Bourbansais Zoo is involved in protecting endangered species and is about to welcome Tamarin monkeys in 2006. They come from South America and are a protected species named by the EEP ( European Environmental Press). It will be La Bourbansais ‘10th EEP.

 


Singes Géladas

The Ouistiti Mignon which is the smallest monkey in the world belongs to this species It only weighs 125 grams. Tamarins are small animals and they weigh less than one kg. They live in pairs and have the particularity of giving birth to twins. As for eating, they bite trees’ bark and eat sap.
